Some useful tips!

  1. Brush your teeth two times daily using a fluoride toothpaste – the number of times is important so your teeth receive fluoride twice (which helps to prevent tooth decay).

  2. Do not rinse after brushing – spit out as much toothpaste as you can instead (this stops you from rinsing the fluoride away!)

  3. Use floss or interdental brushes daily in between all of your teeth (including the back ones!) to keep your gums healthy.

  4. Do NOT brush straight after eating as this can cause you to wear the teeth (as acid in food softens the enamel).

  5. Diet – Have no more than 4 sugar intakes per day (it is the frequency of sugar intake that is important, not the amount!)
